Great plugins. Saves time. No need to play with adjustment layers, titlers, circles, blurs, etc…
    Thanks a lot.

    Hey, nice work! Thanks!

  8. Strypes says:

Blur and saturation controls on the vignette plugin would be great!

    • BartW says:

You can use Saturation blending mode to desaturate (select color with desired saturation value). I’ve been toying with the idea of blur from the beginning, but it would seriously slow down the performance of this plugin. I might consider it when I’ll be making the CUDA-accelerated version, although if and when depends on your support.

  9. strypes says:

Built in Saturation would be nice, so the editor doesn’t have to run two instances of the plugin, once for darkening, another for desaturation.

I’d like it to be OpenCL accelerated as well, as I work on a 2011 MBP. A pity that Mercury on OpenCL doesn’t do blurs yet.

  10. Jim Watt says:

    Bart,

I successfully downloaded and got Vignette to work in CS6 Premier Pro. Looks Great! However can’t get Feather to play “nice”. The download icon looks much different from “Vignette”. Vignette is ia folder looking Icon and “Feather” is a grayish sextogram shape (sort of looks like a perspective diagram of a room) and when I try to install, get an error that it hasn’t done so. This is on a MAC running 10.8.2 and CS6.0.2.

    Thx…Jim Watt

    • BartW says:

      Hi Jim,

Try downloading the file again. The file should be a zipped file, which you should uncompress in your Finder, and then copy the .plugin file into the directory as described in the installation instructions. There is no installer for the plugins.

You do great work! Thank you!

  13. All I get on my mac is a simple .plugin file? what to do with it :o?

  14. The overpowering feeling of stupidity I have right now, cannot be described.
Thank you very much, I have no idea how I could miss that.

    • BartW says:

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Happens to the best of us.

      • William Mah says:

Well I feel like a dope too. I am running OSx 10.10.3 and I don’t know if that makes a difference. I followed the instructions on your download page and only get this:
        ug-ins/CS6/MediaCore/CI_feathered_crop ; exit;
-bash: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS6/MediaCore/CI_feathered_crop: cannot execute binary file
        logout

        What am I doing wrong?

        • BartW says:

Assuming you’re running Premiere/AE CS6, you simply need to copy the plugin file into this directory and then just run the application (Premiere or After Effects) and the plug-in will show up in the Effects list under “Creative Impatience” folder. If you’re using Adobe CC you need to copy the file into /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/ folder.

          • William M says:

I do everything as per your page instructions…I put the .plugin file into this path :
MAC HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS6/MediaCore/ … and still there’s no CI Folder in my effects, Video Effects Folder. I’m running Premiere/AE CS6 not from CC. But I am running Yosemite 10.10.3. Does it work with this OS?

          • BartW says:

I have not tested it with CS6 and Yosemite. It works with CC, not sure why it wouldn’t work in CS6.

  15. Christiaan says:

    Thanks Bart!
Just posted this page on the premiere pro group in linked in…
Maybe you get a lot of downloads today.
Have a nice day and THANKS A LOT for the great plug-ins. Much appreciated!

  16. Thanks a lot , Bart… Great time savers!

  17. Agradecido por su indicación. He descargado el plugin, lo he metido al Adobe CS6
Crop emplumada.

  21. strypes says:

BR: When clip is of a different frame size (eg. PAL 720×576 in an HD 1080i50 sequence), clicking on the bottom left corner of vignette window will cause the vignette to resize disproportionately.

Workaround: Use every other corner to resize vignette except mystery bottom left corner.

Feature request: Offset, gamma, gain and saturation needs to be in finer increments. I keep finding myself holding command to prevent the image brightness from jumping around.

  22. BartW says:

Thanks for that, I’ll see what’s the reason for the mysterious behavior of the bottom left corner.

About the finer increments – I suggest untwirling the sliders, it might give you more control. Unfortunately the default controls supplied by Adobe are pretty sensitive, and Premiere does not respect the option for starting with untwirled sliders.

However, if you save the preset with untwirled sliders, it will respect that, so that’s a workaround.

how can i install the plugging on my premiere cc?

    • BartW says:

      Copy it to MacHD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore

It’s vital that you copy it to the Library folder on your system drive, NOT to the user library!

      • James says:

I’m running OS X Yosemite, and for whatever reason the directory path is not the same. It goes MacHD/Library/Application Support/Adobe… and then there’s no “Common” folder. Any thoughts?

        • BartW says:

I am running Yosemite as well, and definitely there is a Common folder. Please make sure you got the path correct.

hi! Thank you for yours work!
I use Temperature in PP CS6 and it very pawerful tool!

Are you visited The Developer’s Kitchen ? I really waiting for GPU optimized version of plugin )

    Thank you!

    • BartW says:

Hi Dmitry. Thank you for your support as well. GPU acceleration is in the works, and as soon as I find some time – because these days I am totally swamped with work – I will work on it. Let’s say, that this plugin is actually the first one to be released.

      • Dmitriy says:

Good luck with yours work, man )

It’s a good news about temperature. I will wait.

And now I start testing Pure Contrast.

Many thanks again! You doing cool things and share it with people – it’s great )

  28. Wes says:

Hello Bart, thanks so much for your devotion to this project, the plugins are fantastic! I used it previously on CS6 and loved all the plugins. I’m having real issues getting it to work in Premiere Pro CC however. I’m running Premiere Pro 7.2.1 on Mac OSX 10.8.5. I’ve added all of the plugins to the proper place in Application Support (http://imgur.com/a/WfHwZ) but still can’t get it to show up in Premiere. I’ve tried redownloading them, restarting the application multiple times, and even restarting my machine twice. Any ideas?

    • BartW says:

Hi Wes. The proper path is /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore

  29. i want to use them in premiere pro 6 but they are all for after effects only.. with .aex format.
i need then in PRFPSET file..
however its written that for premiere and after effects but i am getting it for premiere.
    what to do

    • BartW says:

If you follow the installation instructions and put them to MediaCore folder, Premiere will see them and you will be able to use them. It’s not true that you need prfpset file. For quite a few versions, After Effects’ effect engine is a preferred way to make Premiere effect plugins.

  30. Thanks very much for your effort, these plugins look really handy.
However, I find my self unable to try them out, since Premiere won’t detect them.
I am working with CS5, from the Production Premium Suite.
I pasted the .aex files in “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\CS5\MediaCore”, and I have the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable package installed.
My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.
Do you have any idea what might be the problem?
    Thanks again!

    • BartW says:

Are you seeing them in After Effects? Note, that some plugins are only supported for CS5.5.

  31. Hi Bart, I do see the plugins in After Effects CS5, although, I’m seeing all the plugins as Premiere Pro CS5 compatible in the supported software section.
    Thanks again for your help.

  32. Jesse J. Barnett says:

I’m a full-time film student on a very tight budget. I really want to say thanks guys for helping me out with these free plug-ins. It’s nice to be able to expand my effects library without breaking the bank, so to speak. Keep up the great work and helping out us fellow aspiring filmmakers. I had absolutely no issues adding them to my effects folder; I simply clicked and dragged them – just as easy as that.

  33. Casey says:

Huge fan of the Feathered Crop plugin, I use it all the time in my work.

I’m having an issue with it in Premiere CC 2014. On a 1080p timeline, using 4K media from the GH4, if I apply the Feathered Crop plugin, it blacks out the entire frame. Applying it to 1080p footage on the same timeline from the GH2 still works as expected.

As a workaround, the Simple Mask plugin accomplishes the same tasks for me, but the Feathered Crop tool was faster to use in my case.

Anyway, just wanted to mention a slight glitch and say thanks again for these tools.

    • BartW says:

Any chance you could share with me the media in question? Not necessarily the very shot you’re using in the timeline, but some GH4 4K media for testing.

Also, in CC2014 you can try applying the default mask to the opacity effect, this will work the same as the Simple Mask, and will be GPU accelerated.

  34. hi BartW you have any lowerthird plugins for premiere pro cs6

    • BartW says:

No. I useTitler, Photoshop or After Effects for that depending on what I want to achieve.

  35. robistereo says:

hi Bart! how I can install plugins on mac ?, because I unzipped the zip file, but not the plugins folder appears when you open the program premiere cs5.5 and after effects cs5.5 thanks

    • BartW says:

The plugin comes without an installer. Please unpack the downloaded file and copy it to Adobe’s Media Core folder, so that both applications will see them.

      on OS X here:

      MacHD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS55/MediaCore

Note, that it’s not the ~/Library, but the Library folder in the root of your boot drive.

  36. robistereo says:

hi, thanks, ok, has support for Maverick?

  37. Puneet says:

Guys any recommendation for free text typing Plugin ?

    • BartW says:

I doubt you will find any, since the text field is not available in the SDK. Unless you choose to update to CC, where you can use Motion Graphics panel and templates. In my book it is dedinitely worth the price.

Only one question. You have a closed loop referring the download of Temeprature plugin, because it points to download instead of download-2.
